دراسة التأثيرات السلبية للإصابة بداء السكري على صحة المفاصل في بعض المرضى المترددين على مستشفى غات العام

Abstract

This study was to investigate some of the signs of inflammations related to rheumatoid arthritis in Diabetes Mellites patients.120 samples (80) samples were from Diabetic patients in Gat hospital (40 male, 40 female).

Between May to September 2021, the results were compared with 40 (20 male, 20 female) samples from healthy people; these samples were used as a control group. There is a significant difference between patients’ samples and control group samples in relation to fasting blood sugar (FBS) and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR); they increased in the patients’ group compared to the control group. However, Hemoglobin concentration decreased in patients’ group compared to control group. 13.75% of diabetic patients were positive for rheumatoid factor,15% of type 1 diabetic mellites and 12.5% of type 2 diabetic mellitus, 9of which were females.

It can be concluded that there are negative effects for Diabetes Mellites on the joints health, which were rheumatoid factor and ESR positive.
