Concerns about the increasing use of peroxide products have driven the research to investigate their impact on oral and tooth tissue, and dental restorative materials.In this research, the Focus has been on the effect of the extrinsic tooth bleaching on commonly used dental restorative materials including restorative glass-ionomer cements and resin composites.From reviewing previous studies, it has been found that bleaching materials, even in low concentrations, can cause changes in the properties of these aesthetic restorative materials such as colour, hardness, surface texture, and fluoride release.
